Valentine's Hair Clips

A picture guide on how to make a pretty ribbon hair clip. ❤️
Supplies
Ribbons, needle, thread, sharp scissors, clips, buttons, and a lighter to heat the ends of the ribbons so they won't unravel.
I just play around with the lengths of ribbon. Notice the Halloween hair clip on the right with a green spider for the center.
Use your needle and thread to hold the ribbons while you arrange them however you like. I stack the ribbons and fold them in half to find the center.
Again I just experiment with the lengths of ribbon. These need to be longer to make the center flower.
Notice how I don't put the ribbon on the needle to close to the cut edge. This helps prevent the ribbons from coming apart from the thread.
Play around with different buttons to find the perfect centerpiece.
Stitch on or glue on your center and then tie off your thread.
You can stitch on a clip or you can make a ribbon cover like I did with the red clip.
I just glue on the clip and hold it in place with other clips until it completely dries.
I use a few clips to do this, notice how the red clip is on top. This prevents the glue from sticking to it.
I made one for my friend too. If you want to make a few at a time I suggest cutting all your ribbons at the same time and preparing the clips if you want to wrap them with ribbon. I glue the ribbon around the bottom part of the clip. I think you can figure it out if you look carefully at the pictures.
Here is another version.
Now you can wear it! Don't worry my husband was driving. Enjoy!
