These are so easy and fun to make, they all turn out different. And it only cost me about $8 from Joanns, however the quality of the strips was lacking they were far from 2.5" in some places. But I made it work and I think they turned out great.

Applique Owl Wall Hanging

Recently I wanted to teach myself to machine applique, and I made a cute purse with little birds on it. Well, I really liked it and I knew I wanted to make something for Valentines Day, so I decided to make this little work of art. It's my first wall hanging, I just love it. I gave it to my fieance for our 2 year anniversary and it looks so good hanging on our wall. It's so cute, I think I'll just leave it up all year!

 

   

My King Size Carpenters Wheel Quilt

I just wanted to share my newest quilt. This is just the top piece, I still need to quilt it. I'm a little nervous about trying to quilt it on my small sewing machine. It's called a carpenters wheel quilt. I did not use a pattern for it, I just used the half square triangle method, graphing paper, and some simple math to figure out how big to make it. I just love it!
